Buschenberg
Wachau DAC - Riesling from Weissenkirchen
The Buschenberg site lies to the east of Ried Klaus and is relatively unknown, as many winegrowers farm on small plots and hardly any single-vineyard wines have been bottled to date. The vineyard can only be worked by hand because the steep slopes are not accessible by tractor. The vines were planted here in 1979 and grow on primary rock Riesling soil with low growth potential. This terroir produces reductive, mineral, powerful Riesling with a high ageing potential.
