Viessling

Wachau DAC - Grüner Veltliner from Viessling in the Spitzer Graben

The grapes for this wine from the Spitzer Graben ripen very late, mostly on north-facing vineyards. The result is an intensely crisp Grüner Veltliner "as it used to be", straw-yellow in color and with a peppery mineral spiciness. The lively acidity that my wines are known for balances the taste of the typical Wachau grape variety and shows the potential of the Spitzer Graben terroir.
