Liebedich

Wachau DAC - Grüner Veltliner from vineyards on the Danube and the Spitzer Graben

The name of this wine says it all. The grapes from the 2012 and 2013 vintages come from various terraced vineyards, some of which have old vines (Ried Bruck, Schön, Buschenberg, Hochrain, Loibenberg, etc.). These are sites for potential top quality, mostly on primary rock. The quantities were too small in each of these years to fill them separately, which led to the creation of LIEBEDICH.

From the 2014 vintage, the wine also contains grapes from the flat Unterloibn vineyard KREUTLES, which will no longer be bottled as a separate vineyard wine from 2014. This means that LIEBEDICH has now been my classic, authentic "Wachau" for more than 10 years, representing the typical characteristics of the region's vintages in a way that encourages drinking.
